為國家科委和新聞出版署批準(zhǔn)的國內(nèi)外正式公開發(fā)行的專業(yè)性學(xué)術(shù)月刊，是我國最早報道天然產(chǎn)物研究與開發(fā)的刊物，由中國科學(xué)院成都文獻(xiàn)情報中心與中國科學(xué)院成都地奧制藥公司、國家天然藥物工程技術(shù)中心合辦。

由中國科學(xué)院主管，中國科學(xué)院成都文獻(xiàn)情報中心主辦，在國內(nèi)外公開發(fā)行的綜合性科技雙月刊。本刊創(chuàng)刊于1979年10月，1993年經(jīng)國家科委批準(zhǔn)向國內(nèi)外公開發(fā)行，曾用名《科技拾零》和《世界研究與發(fā)展》，1995年根據(jù)錢學(xué)森院士建議改為現(xiàn)名。
